Aerial Dance on Silk Class, January 10, 1 - 3:30 p.m.
Aerial Dance on Silk is a two and a half-hour class taught by Teresa Tipping a former Cirque du Soleil performer, modern dancer and gymnast who currently lives in Austin, Texas and performs with Ariel Dance Theater. Dancing on Silk is an off the ground experience which will challenges and stimulate your physical awareness, enhance your self esteem and grace while building strength and stamina. Introduction to Belly Dance with Karen Barbee Adkisson, Saturdays, January 17, 21, 28 & February 7, noon - 1 p.m.
This series of classes will explain the fundamentals of Belly Dance from scratch! Isolations will be demonstrated and explained in greater detail than the usual class allows. Bits of the dance's history will be introduced. Rhythms of Middle Eastern music will be demonstrated and explained. The use of zils (finger cymbals) and veils will be demonstrated and explained.

Nia PlayShop, January 25, 2 - 5 p.m.
Join Adelle Brewer, Jan Jarboe Russell and Joanie Brooks in a 3 hour Nia PlayShop where we will explore the 52 moves of Nia. All the Nia moves are designed to deliver fitness and help you develop a movement vocabulary you can use in life to self-heal. Practicing the 52 moves of Nia will train your mind and body, and prepare you to move with greater ease and confidence. In the 1st 2 hours we will practice the Science, Craft and Art of each move. Sarita’s Dance Studio is offering an exciting Summer Dance Camp for high school dance team members and officers that are interested in learning extra material that would improve on their dance skills, choreography as well new unique routines to add to your dance team repertoire. American Dance Co. Summer Intensive, San Antonio, June 9 - 20, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Summer Intensive is a special, two-week workshop designed for serious dancers who want to gain proficiency and confidence in dancing. Dancers will follow a rigorous and structured curriculum to develop their technique and style. This ballet and Jazz based program will give students a deeper understanding of technique and how to use it more effectively. Classes include jazz, ballet, pointe, variations, leaps & turns, and pilates. Classes will be taught by highly trained dance educators and professional performers.  This workshop will provide dancers age 8 and up (with at least 2 years of previous training) with the opportunity to excel in the development of an elite dancer. St. Mary's Hall Dance Department Ballet Classes
The St. Mary's Hall Dance Department offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Irish and Tap.  Interested dance students in grade 3 and above are invited to enroll in these classes and participate in one or more of the three dance productions produced annually by the department. 'Stepping' Originated in Chicago as The Bob and graduated to a version of the Swing (without the swinging).  'Stepping' compares to other dance styles such as Salsa, Swing, Cha-cha and the Two-step, and it can be revved up or down, slow or fast, to almost any type of music.  Today music is being made specifically for Stepping such as R.
